Chapter VIII LIABILITY TO PRODUCE ACCOUNTS AND SUPPLY OF INFORMATION

Dealer to declare the name of manager of business.

1. (1) Every dealer, who is a Hindu Undivided Family, an association of persons, a club, a society, a firm or a company, or who is engaged in business as the guardian or trustee or otherwise on behalf of another person, shall within the period prescribed, furnish a declaration in the prescribed manner to the prescribed authority stating the name of the person who shall be deemed to be the manager of such business for the purposes of this Act.
2. (2) Such declaration may be furnished at any time and may also be revised from time to time.
3. (3) The statement furnished under this section shall specify the name of the manager of the business and he shall be responsible for all the acts and omissions of the dealer under this Act.

Furnishing of specimen signature Furnishing of specimen signature. – Every dealer who is registered under this Act shall furnish to the prescribed authority or the officer authorized by the Commissioner, a specimen of the signature of the person who is authorized by the dealer to sign returns, statements, declarations, notices and other documents and shall, from time to time, furnish such new specimen of signature as may be required by such authority or officer.
